The city of Coari, in the state of Amazonas (Brazil), hosted the Inter-Congregational Vocational Mission, an initiative that brought together various religious congregations to promote a culture of vocations and bear witness to the beauty of consecrated life in the heart of the Amazon.
The mission took place to mark the Perpetual Profession of Sister Maria Neurice, of the Congregation of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, and served as a space for encounter, communion and the renewal of the missionary commitment of religious life in the service of the Amazonian peoples.
Throughout the day, there were moments of prayer, fraternal fellowship, the sharing of experiences and vocational outreach, all within an atmosphere of deep communion with the local Church. The joint participation of different congregations reflected the synodal spirit that drives the evangelising mission in the Amazon, strengthening the bonds of collaboration between the various charisms in the service of the Kingdom of God.
The event also provided a special opportunity to share with young people, families and communities the witness of those who have responded to God’s call through consecrated life. Through dialogue, closeness and fellowship, the participants encouraged reflection on the Christian vocation as a path of service, self-giving and hope.
Sister Maria Neurice’s Perpetual Profession was one of the most significant moments of the gathering, as she expressed her definitive commitment to consecrate her life to God and to the Church’s mission. Her testimony became a sign of hope for the younger generations and an invitation to continue listening to the Lord’s voice, especially in the Amazonian regions where the missionary presence remains essential.
