During the Annual Meeting of the Peruvian Province of the Society of Jesus, Cardinal Pedro Barreto, S.J., presented the Ecclesiastical Conference of the Amazon (CEAMA). In his speech, he highlighted the importance of CEAMA in promoting a Church with an Amazonian face, in tune with integral ecology and the defense of indigenous peoples. The event underlined the commitment of the Society of Jesus to the pastoral and social mission in the Amazon, within a framework of synodality and ecclesial collaboration.
