The meeting brought together communication leaders from the National Conference of Religious of Brazil, regional teams, and the Vocational Animation Service. Fernando Rueda, CEAMA’s Communications Coordinator, participated in this forum for continental formation and exchange.

With the aim of strengthening communication processes in service to Consecrated Religious Life, the National Conference of Religious of Brazil (CRB Nacional) held the National Communication Training on September 8 and 9, under the theme “Communication in Service to the Mission.”

The meeting brought together leaders from the CRB Nacional’s communications teams, representatives from regional teams and the Vocational Animation Service (SAV), along with the Conference’s executive advisors. Sr. Alessandra from the Youth Sector also participated, fostering dialogue and coordination among the various areas of the CRB.

Representing the Ecclesial Conference of the Amazon (CEAMA) was Fernando Rueda, Communications Coordinator, who participated in this training and exchange session, sharing experiences and perspectives on the current challenges of institutional communication and its contribution to the mission of the Church and Consecrated Religious Life.

Communication as a Way of Serving the Mission

The opening session was led by Sister Neusa Santos, Communications Advisor for the National CRB, who proposed a symbolic sowing exercise as a starting point for the training. The gesture invited participants to recognize communication as a true mission field and to commit to “sowing the Good Seed of the Kingdom” through various communication initiatives.

Subsequently, Sr. Neusa presented the National CRB’s Communication Guidelines, delving into the principles, objectives, and guidelines that shape institutional communication and its relationship to the mission of Consecrated Religious Life.

During the meeting, an understanding of communication that transcends the production and dissemination of content was emphasized. From this perspective, communication also means strengthening communion, building bridges, promoting dialogue with different audiences, and making the presence and mission of Consecrated Religious Life visible.

Training in Strategic and Integrated Communication

The program also included a training session on event planning and organization, led by Antônio Kaiser and César Kaiser, specialists in the field and members of the CiaTicket system.

Participants received practical guidance on planning, structuring, and organizing events, recognizing these processes as an integral part of an institutional communication strategy that requires coordination among teams, audiences, and different stages of implementation.

Over the course of the two days, the training combined sessions of instruction, study, the exchange of experiences, and the joint development of strategies, with the aim of strengthening the CRB’s communication processes at both the national and regional levels.

Communication That Connects Mission and Territory

CEAMA’s participation in this event helped strengthen bonds of collaboration and learning with Consecrated Religious Life in Brazil, as well as share communication experiences related to a Church that seeks to respond to the pastoral, social, and socio-environmental challenges of the Amazon region.

The theme “Communication in the Service of the Mission” encapsulated the meeting’s vision: communication called not only to inform, but also to serve, bring people together, educate, inspire, and strengthen the mission.

For CEAMA, these opportunities for collaboration help consolidate ecclesial communication capable of fostering communion, highlighting the experiences emerging from the local communities, and placing communication tools at the service of a Church with an Amazonian face and of Consecrated Religious Life committed to the mission.
