In an atmosphere of fraternity, prayer, and missionary spirit, the CEMINA Missionaries’ Meeting – Amazon Region was held in the Apostolic Vicariate of Puyo, bringing together male and female missionaries from various Amazonian territories in Ecuador to share experiences, challenges, and hopes regarding the evangelizing mission in the Amazon.

The meeting, held on May 1 and 2, brought together representatives from the vicariates of Puyo, Aguarico, Sucumbíos, and Napo, who renewed their commitment to walk alongside the Amazonian peoples as a Church that is close to them, synodal, and rooted in the realities of the region.

During the sessions, participants engaged in prayer, reflection, and fraternal dialogue, strengthening missionary bonds and delving deeper into the pastoral challenges facing the Church in contexts marked by cultural diversity, natural wealth, and the complex social realities of the Amazon.

The gathering provided an opportunity to share concrete experiences of evangelization, community accompaniment, and the defense of life, reaffirming the importance of a mission that listens to the cries of the peoples and responds to the environmental, social, and spiritual challenges facing the Amazon region.

Likewise, the need to continue building coordinated pastoral processes was emphasized—processes capable of strengthening the Church’s presence in the most remote and vulnerable communities, promoting human dignity, social justice, and care for our Common Home.

Inspired by the vision of a Church that goes forth and by the call to an integral ecology promoted by Pope Francis in *Querida Amazonía* and *Laudato Si’*, the missionaries reaffirmed the urgency of continuing to accompany the Amazonian peoples through closeness, listening, and a commitment to life.

The CEMINA Missionaries’ Meeting – Amazon Region concluded with a renewed evangelizing momentum and the conviction that the mission in the Amazon continues to be a prophetic call to build a world that is more just, united in solidarity, and in harmony with creation.

From the perspective of the Ecclesial Conference of the Amazon (CEAMA), these gatherings represent signs of hope and ecclesial communion that strengthen the synodal journey of the Amazonian Church and its commitment to the peoples and territories of our Common Home.
