The Pan-Amazonian Ecclesial Network (REPAM) celebrates with gratitude and hope its 11 years of journey, a time in which it has sought to be a space of communion, listening, and commitment to the peoples and territories of the Amazon.

On this anniversary, Brother João Gutemberg, FMS, Executive Secretary of REPAM, shared a message of encouragement and remembrance:

“We joyfully celebrate the 11 years of the Pan-Amazonian Ecclesial Network, a network that seeks to be in solidarity with the peoples of the Amazon territories. We see how many people and institutions have come together and are participating in the processes of connecting the territory at the Pan-Amazonian level, for life, the care and defense of life at the local, regional, and international levels, because the Amazon needs to be cared for and defended so that the peoples and the entire planet have life guaranteed from our ecosystems and human cultures.”

With an image full of hope, Brother João recalled that REPAM, founded 11 years ago, is beginning to take steps toward maturity:

“This girl who was born 11 years ago is already beginning to be a very lively young woman who increasingly needs the support of everyone who cares for our Common Home.”

REPAM thus reiterates its commitment to continue weaving networks of solidarity, advocacy, and ecological spirituality, convinced that caring for our Common Home is a gift from God and a call to all humanity.

Happy anniversary, REPAM! 11 years defending life, peoples, and the Amazon.
